Arunachal Pradesh holds the most north-eastern position among the other states in the north-east region of India. Arunachal Pradesh borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south, and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and the People's Republic of China in the north. It is known for the first state in Indian subcontinent to kiss the first ray of the Sun. Itanagar is the capital of the state.
