The park lies on the north-eastern side of Assam and it is home to more than 20 rare and endangered species in the world. This is the only place in the state which comes under Project Tiger. Kaziranga National Park

Sonai Rupai Wildlife Sanctuary

Sonai Rupai Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1998 and spread across 220 sq km. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, this is another amazing place where you can see one-horned rhinoceros. Gaurs, elephants, hog deer, barking deer, wild boars are some animals you can spot in this landscape. If you get lucky you will also get a glimpse of a tiger.
